  i found this little jem this morning .

  it's a little dated but describes the self-proclaimed jesus of nazareth by the name of a.j miller.

  he was raised in the jw religion and was also an elder and pioneer.

  There are true Holy weirdness, like dancing with snakes weird, but to truly follow and

  obey Jesus, you will strike the world as being weird,odd, possibly even a bit unstable.

  What "normal" person seeks to fight against sexual lust? What "normal" person stakes

  all their hope on living here on earth and playing with meat eating animals and millions

  of people will die so they can have their paradise.

  JW's are not Holy weirdness like dancing with wolves weird , they are in the oddness category.

  Many here have left the organization and when we look back, we were weird as hell to our worldly friends

  and our non-JW family members, good people but strange.LOL

  Why is it so hurtful to be shunned? Why object to it?

  it seems like many feel hurt or saddened by the practice of shunning by witnesses.. yes, when ones who we were close to, perhaps family or ones we thought were close friends choose to follow the warped directions of the society, it may seem hurtful.. but really, our reaction is up to us.

  the fact is, these ones have shown that in reality, their love for us was never real or genuine.

  no, those relationships were superficial and lacking in substance.

  Family contact in terminal illness cases.

  i had not seen my parents for over 15 years since the funeral of my brother and even then no one spoke to me as i was da.

  my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2014 and i was then permitted contact with them.

  i now know the reason that this is allowed.

  Elders: Oh no we can't have that. By the way who is the brother, doesn't matter.

  We will put a stop to this. Was he in our congregation, anyone knows him????

  Question Anointed , If they are too sick or too old to attend the memorial.

  i never encountered this as a elder, but if one that profess to be of the anointed is too ill to attend the.

  the memorial do the brothers take the emblems to the sick??.

  in the baptist church( after leaving the borg) i was assign to take the emblems to the sick and shut in on.

  the 1st of each month. I don't recall this happening as a JW.

  What get me about shunning and my None JW family, my ex- and her husband shows up

  at MY JW family members gathering and on vacation she and her husband travail to visit

  MY JW family members.We have been divorce over 25 years and I have no idea who my

  nephews and nieces are. My sister told me it makes her ill (who never was a JW) when my

  JW side of the family have a gathering and my ex and her husband is there.

  It was a ugly divorce and I believe the ex is enjoying it. She rarely visit her own family members, none

  are JW's...It bugs the hell out of me.....

  My ex-neighbor a JW live in a Senior home, a JW for over 60 years. No children, no wife and

  one sister(not a JW) that live in another city. He calls me to see if I can come by to visit, the funny thing

  he knows I was once a JW. Two elderly sisters visit him once a month to drop off the Mags,

  the Elders maybe visit once or twice a year.I ask him why the friends don't come by more often

  for a visit? He told me the old ones have passed or they are to old to drive and the new ones don't know him.

  So now he is visited by an Apostate (me), but we talk about his time in the Dutch Nazi prison camp, his love for music,

  and his love for Canada we never speak about the Bible. But it's sad.....I thought about contacting

  his KH and tell them I'am a Apostate and your brother_____ call me to come by because he has no visitors.

  I bet you that will increase his visitors or he will get DF. A sick organization....
